Vinegar Hill

Vinegar Hill is famous for its historical battle on June 21st in 1798. The Battle took place during the Irish Rebellion with over 10,000 crown forces launching an attack on Vinegar Hill, which was then headquarters of the Wexford United Irishmen being the largest Rebel Camp occupied by over 20,000 rebels and followers. This attack marked a turning point in the Irish Rebellion of 1798, being the final major endeavour by the Rebel to defend ground against the crown forces and King George III Army.

Alternatively, you can jump in your car and turn right when you exit the hotel. Continue driving for a brief 5 minutes before turning right for Vinegar Hill.
