Summer Fun for Family in County Wexford

Ireland feels bigger and what more than to stay and support local this Summer – make a break for it at Treacy’s Hotel Enniscorthy!

Here at Treacys Enniscorthy Hotel with fabulous walks along the Slaney and close proximity to Curracloe Beach, we can’t help but get excited at the thoughts of throwing off our heavy coats, hanging up our woolly hats & scarves and just getting out to enjoy all that Enniscorthy and the local area has to offer. County Wexford, in the Sunny South East, has long summer days to enjoy with the children.

As parents, we love to see our kids enjoying themselves and a great way to incorporate a fun family day during the Summer in the Sunny South East, is to take the kids to one of the many hobby farms nearby, like Blackwater Open Farm, Secret Valley Wildlife Park or Kia Ora Mini Farm. Little ones love to pet and feed the chickens, goats, rabbits and the rest of the animals.

Another suggestion is a family trip to many of the beaches Wexford has to offer which allows the children run free, splash about and enjoy the fresh air. Curracloe which is approximately 25 minutes from Treacy’s Hotel Enniscorthy, was voted as Irelands No.1 Top Beach by The Irish Independent Reader Travel Awards in 2019.

Should it rain, we are also spoilt for choice in County Wexford with several top quality indoor play areas, cinemas & bowling. Pirates Cove Adventure Park is also a great option. If kids feel like swimming we just go to Waterfront Swimming Pool just across Treacys Enniscorthy Hotel.

Visitors to our model county also enjoy many of the historic houses and gardens in the area like Wells House with its beautiful woodland walks, adventure play areas and Craft Courtyard, as well as Johnstown Castle State & Gardens with its spectacular garden walks and trails, lakes and house.

Treacy’s Hotel Enniscorthy break packages for family summer breaks are designed with families with children in mind and as well as including a daily kids club, they all also include vouchers for family guests to enjoy days out to some of the many attractions that the area has to offer.

Make a break for it this summer and visit Wexford while it #FeelsBigger.
