Dunbrody Abbey Campile Wexford
Dunbrody Abbey was founded in 1170 by Herve de Montmorency on the instruction of Strongbow. de Montmorency became the first abbot of Dunbrody and died there in 1205 at the age of 75. The demise of the Abbey began some time around 1542 when Alexander Devereux the last Abbot of Dunbrody, granted to the king, his heirs and successors the Abbey and all its possessions.The lands and the Abbey then came into the possession of the Etchingham family. In 1642 Jane Etchingham the heiress, married the second Earl of Donegal, whose descendants (the Chichester family) still own the lands today.The Abbey was handed over to the Department of Public Works in 1911 and is maintained by the Department.
National Heritage 1798 Enniscorthy
National 1798 Visitor Centre Ireland’s most modern visitor attraction tells the story of the birth of popular democracy in Europe through a spectacular exhibition using state of the art audio-visual material, including interactive computers. Recipients of prestigious Interpret Award 1999, the centre is suitable for all the family. We provide a Tourism information Centre, Craft Shop and Restaurant on site. Boolavogue Fr Murphy Centre
Fr Murphy’s house is a magnificent example of an 18th century rural thatched, stone built dwelling. Farmyard also includes a lodge, barn and exhibition of folklore. Storytelling sessions on the third Thursday of every month at 8.30pm in the Centre. There is a Garden of Remembrance

Restored 17th Century Water Mill to full working order. Guided Tours available situated in the village of Craanford, turn off at Camolin. Open Daily 11am - 6pm.
Dunbrody Famine Ship, The Quays, New Ross
The Dunbrody is a full scale reproduction of a 19th Century Famine ship (three masted Barque built in Quebec in 1845) Open Daily March - October.
Irish Agricultural Museum
The Irish Argicultural Museum is located in the old farm and stable buildings of Johnstown Castle Estate. The Museum display a vast array of artefacts relating to a bygone era. Farming and rural life are the main themes explored, these exhibits cover transport, village crafts, country furniture and the dairy. Open Monday - Friday all year round, Johnstown Castle Garden open daily.
Ferns Castle
This 13th Century Norman Fortification is now in state care. A visitor centre is located with the grounds with guided tours available within the summer months.
